Extra Curricular Activities

Service

Our students are very involved with their parish and their community. 

• Students participate monthly in food drives to support the Parish Food bank.  Over the last year alone, the students have collected over 4,000 lbs. of non-perishable food items.

• Each classroom supports a homebound parishioners  These parishioners are seniors from the community that crave socialization. The students write them letters, draw them pictures, send them crafts and keep them in their daily prayers. 

• First Fridays are Popcorn for the Mission days.  Students can purchase a small bag of popcorn for a snack and all proceeds are donated to the Heifer Project Mission.  Last year the students raised nearly $500.

• Additionally, students often rally around a cause and conduct bake sales, lollipop sales, and bottle drives to support the cause.

• The 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade students also serve as buddies for the younger children supporting them at mass, reading to them in the classrooms and, on occasion, helping them with their hot lunches.

Sports

Our Athletic Department understands the need for better health and physical fitness in all our youth

We promote a desire to succeed while fostering the development of ethical standards and good sportsmanship.  Our fifth through 8^th grade students have the opportunity to participate in various after school athletic programs as part of the Mid-Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Association (MMIAA).

Competitive team sports include: Co-ed Soccer, Boys and Girls Basketball, Girls Volleyball and Cheerleading. 

Scouting

Scouting is currently available for boys and girls in the first grade and up.  Contact the school office to get the name and number of the current scout leaders.
